Editions & Authenticity

A transparent record of what the collector owns.

Digital artwork can be reproduced with precision. That makes clear edition rules more important, not less. Jabbi Delahaye Artwork identifies whether a work is an open edition, a limited edition, an artist’s proof or a unique commissioned work before it is offered for sale.

01

Limited editions

A limited edition is defined by the combination of image, dimensions and production specification stated on the product page and certificate. Each print receives an individual number within the declared edition. Once complete, no further prints matching that specification will be issued.

If the same image is later produced at a different size, through a materially different process or as a hand-embellished version, it will be clearly recorded as a separate edition or work type.

02

Open editions

An open edition is not restricted to a fixed total number. It still identifies the artist, title, process, paper, dimensions and production year where relevant. Open edition describes availability, not a lower production standard.

03

Artist’s proofs

Any artist’s proofs are declared separately from the numbered edition and included in the studio’s edition record. Their number remains proportionate and is never used to extend an edition without transparency.

04

Certificate of authenticity

Where supplied, the certificate confirms the title, artist, edition type, edition size and number, print process, exact paper, image and paper dimensions, production year, and whether the work is mounted, framed or hand embellished.

A certificate records authenticity; it does not replace accurate product information or the studio’s master register.

05

Signatures and fulfilment

A signature may be applied by hand or through an approved digital-signature workflow, consistently with the published description. When a specialist white-label partner produces and dispatches the print, Jabbi Delahaye Artwork remains responsible for the integrity of the edition record and the accuracy of the collector-facing description.

06

Hand embellishment

A printed image may depict gold, silver, crystal, pearl, gemstone or diamond dust without containing those materials physically. If real material is added to the surface, the work becomes a separately described hand-embellished object with its own process, care requirements, price and edition controls.
