The Wealth Within
From Jabbi Delahaye’s print collection.
Enlarge image ↗Blue and green jewels frame a woman’s face, their colour held within intricate gold ornament. Against the black background, each stone catches the light, while her closed eyes and composed expression draw attention towards a quieter centre.
The adornment offers one expression of richness; her presence invites us to consider another. The portrait opens a space for thinking about the wealth we carry within ourselves: lived experience, imagination, dignity and a sense of worth that needs no audience.
There is an intimacy in encountering a face that does not return our gaze. She seems absorbed in a moment of her own, allowing us to look while leaving her thoughts beyond our reach.
The Wealth Within brings intricate beauty into conversation with inner composure. Its invitation is to linger with both—to appreciate what shines on the surface and reflect on the life it surrounds.
